{"id":141,"date":"2018-01-23T00:22:08","date_gmt":"2018-01-23T00:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/minimoog.net\/daphne\/?page_id=141"},"modified":"2023-08-02T04:28:33","modified_gmt":"2023-08-02T04:28:33","slug":"moogt1restoration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/minimoog.net\/daphne\/moogt1restoration\/","title":{"rendered":"Moog Taurus 1 Restoration"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The Moog Taurus 1 is pushing 50 years old!\u00a0 Enjoy many more years of reliable playing by sending in your T1 for restoration.<\/h2>\n<p>Our goal is to help &#8220;set the clock back&#8221; on the original Moog Taurus 1 synthesizer, providing many more years of reliable use.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Standard Service Includes (but is not limited to):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Boards cleaned<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIncludes rust removal, flux removal, dust, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cracked components replaced.<\/strong><br \/>\nThis includes all types of components where they&#8217;ve cracked or been bent to the point of lead fatigue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All electrolytic caps replaced.<\/strong><br \/>\nElectrolytic caps, also known as &#8220;wet caps&#8221; are made with a moist paste inside.\u00a0Over the years, this paste can dry up or corrode the internal conductors of the cap. \u00a0Caps of this type generally have a 15-25 year lifespan.\u00a0We replace all wet caps during restoration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All carbon resistors tested.<\/strong><br \/>\nMost carbon resistors on vintage synths are 35 to 50 years old. Their age causes them to lose value. We test all carbon resistors as a matter of course. All carbon AND metal resistors that are out of the 5% tolerance range will be replaced.
