Sinuses, the one thing I regret inheriting from my dad, causes a migraine, the one thing I regret inheriting from my Mom.
I inherit so many great things from them, though.
Cobbled together OTC remedy thanks to the pricey standard airport shop. The ONE time I don’t bring my Imitrex, natch.
I’m all tense and full of life changing feels that are manifesting in my meat sack. Hence the migraine intensified by fake lavender car freshener invading my senses as I made my way to the airport.
Used my dress as an undergarment once I got past security like a rebellious schoolgirl. I felt a lot more comfortable that way.
Wool skirt, wool vest that don’t coordinate–ah well, matching isn’t a requirement right now.
Skirt is a commission from my Sewing Goddess. I have a few. This winter’s look, along with the comfy tights Mom got me.
The vest is my “battle vest” if you will, purchased from a cool vintage store that’s been a fave since my college days. Still haven’t sewed on the “hooked on crochet” patch. Bowie as Alladin in pin form is permanently on, as the backing broke shut.
The sparkly CT’s with the sparkly laces. This year’s new rebellion symbol. Muted bi flag colors make them especially nice.
The bun that keeps falling out into the braid that is loosening. Looking forward to letting my hair down, literally and figuratively.
The reading glasses I got yesterday after cashing an unexpected check are great. So is the Hello Kitty eye mask with Bluetooth speakers.
Into the plane, suitcase stored, time to find a seat.
Oh there is a baby in front of me. Changing seats. Loud high pitched noises are NOT ideal at the moment. My headache isn’t the kid’s fault.
I almost listened to Glenn Miller as we’re getting ready to take off. Oops.
It’s like we have to get on the freeway to take off. Huge airport. A movie billboard fits the window to my left perfectly right before we took off. It’s ok kid, takeoffs are weird. Probably the fastest you’ve gone so far. Hi Pacific Ocean! And whatever hills those are. And away we go!

Almost there
Tablets do help pass the time!
Yay for a whole can of soda! (Ask for no ice!) Yes, I needed this diversion. I have so many things to do after I get back.
Head is still a tiny bit sensitive. Earbuds helped me ignore the littles.
Oh.I really think Hicks was on to something. The demons do run amok. It sadly makes sense that killing those who seek to shine light on evil die by that same evil.
The city after we went through the clouds is lovely.
AND HERE I IS!
